It is that season of the year again! December has come and with it all the joys & sorrows of Christmas. But, what is the real meaning of Christmas? For many, it is a season of ” sorrow ” because of uncomprehending hardship; henceforth, for others, it is a season of ” show down ” with out-pouring excesses & delicacies. Therefore, for us ” followers ” it is a heartfelt occasion to” take stock “, or to review our relationship on the basis of our faith to our Lord and Savior: Our Father. Jesus Christ.
Of course, Christmas is a season of great joy; Not only because of the ” memorial ” time for the exposure of God’s love for sinners ( mankind ) – Romans 3: 23 ” For everyone has sinned; we all fall short of God’s glorious standard “; through the birth of His Son Jesus, as the beginning of the process of Salvation – Luke 2: 4-19. But, most importantly, an opportunity for we to welcome this ” Child ” Jesus as an ” Excellent-best-very-important-personality: EBVIP ” in our life; And embrace God’s love as a sincere and genuine sign of conversion, and updated our status as full and complete member of God’s family: The family where love is a natural attitude by the power of the Holy Spirit. This attitude of the love of the child, will be the foundation of our preparedness into real devotion as the child grows.
Furthermore, today’s refection is about, can you and I focused our reverence or our devotion beyond Christmas as a ” season ” and experienced all the benefits ( or values ) attached to the coming of our Lord & Savior as our ” daily attitude ” in our fellowship & worship with the one who is ” all in all “? It is a call for Christ’s mind in our day-to-day walk with Jesus. Philippians 2: 2 – 5 ” Then make me truly happy by agreeing wholeheartedly with each other, loving one another, and working together with one mind and purpose. Don’t be selfish, don’t try to impress others. Be humble, thinking of others as better as yourselves. Don’t look out only for your own interests, but take an interest in others too. You must have the same attitude that Christ Jesus had. “ Jesus, even as a “child ” is our counselor – Isaiah 40: 13 ” Who is able to advise the Spirit of the Lord? Who knows enough to give him advice or teach him?
