All our victories over satan, are obtained by the power derived from Jesus Christ, and he must have all the praise. Luke 10: 20 ” Notwithstanding in this rejoice not, that the spirits are subject unto you; but rather rejoice, because your names are written in heaven. ” But let us beware of Spiritual pride ( I will highlight this malicious sin ), which has been the destruction of many. Our Lord rejoiced at the prospect of the salvation of many souls ( that is our belief in creating a blog ). It was fit that particular notice should be taken of that hour of joy; there were few such, for He was a man of sorrows of his monsters, in that hour he rejoiced. He has ever resisted the proud, and given grace to the humble. The more simply dependent we are on the teaching help, and blessing of the Son of God, the more we shall know both of the Father and of the Son; the more blessed we shall be in seeing the Glory, and hearing the words of the Divine Savior, and the more useful we shall be made in promoting his cause.
Caution teaches us that, Pride was the sin that turned satan, a blessed angel, into a cursed devil. Satan knows better than anyone the damning power of pride. Is it any wonder, then, than satan sows pride among saints, that he so then uses it to poison them? Spiritual pride is one kind of pride satan uses to assault the saints. For example, the spiritual pride of ” gifts “. By gifts, I mean those spiritual abilities the Holy Spirit dispenses to Christians for the edification of the ” Body of Christ ” as a whole. But when pride creeps in, we begin to create hierarchies among the brethren and among gifts. This is inevitably leads to division and disputes. Satan, however, achieving two goals in one shoot. First, he strikes the unity of the body o Christ ( Church ) as a whole, secondly, he cripples the individual saint ( follower ).
The “ joy ” our Lord and Savior, is rehearsing this day, is a record containing the names of those who have overcome sin through accepting Jesus as Christ ( after their spiritual birth ); in order words, “ the book of life ” as popularly known, is where the names of the redeemed those who will live with God forever in heaven are celled. – John 3: 3 ” Jesus answered and said unto him, verily, verily, I say unto thee, except a man be born again, he cannot see the Kingdom of God. ” – Born again people are people who have acknowledged are sinners, who cannot save themselves; they are people who have embrace the fact that, Jesus took that death penalty for them; they are people who have rejected all other proposals for how to achieve this whole lasting life ( eternal ).
