” Yours, O Lord, is the greatness, and the power, and the glory, and the victory, and the majesty; for all that is in the heaven and in the earth is yours; your is the Kingdom, O Lord, and you are exalted as head above all. ” – 1 Chronicles 29: 11.

Thine, O Lord, is the greatness, and the power, and the glory, and the victory, and the majesty; That is to say, God is owner of all greatness and immensity, of dignity of nature, and of all perfections; of almighty power, of excellent glory, of superiority to all beings and honor in men, and victory over others; the majestic appearance they make, and exaltation above others they have, are all of God:

For all that is in the heaven and in the earth is thine; They are both made by him, and all that is in them, and therefore he has the sole right with a title deed unto them:

Thine is the Kingdom, O Lord; Of nature and providence, he has the sole dominion over all creatures, and the sovereign disposal of all things:

And thou art exalted as head above all; Let us quote fully Colossians 1: 16 ” For by Him all things were created in heaven and on earth (things) visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities; all things were created and exist through Him ( that is, by His activity) and for Him.

In the context of the collection of gifts for building the Temple of our God. King David, because of his intense devotion ” a man after God’s heart ” to the Temple gave all his private treasures of gold and silver, in addition to the building materials already collected from the people of Israel. King David believed that this amount of collection was tiny, either as to the magnificence prospect of the Temple, furthermore, or to the unsearchable riches of Christ exceeds the splendor of the Temple, infinitely, more than that surpassed the meanest Temple on earth. Instead of boasting of these large special offerings to God, King David gave solemn deeply thanks to the Lord as a vivid expression of his praises & worship = 1 Chronicles 29: 11
