” Having predestined us for adoption as children through Jesus Christ to Himself, according to the good pleasure of His desire. ” Ephesians 1: 5. Before the creation of Man (Adm & Eve) in Genesis, God have planned to create the siblings ( small number of people born of God’s love, purposely to portrayed a blameless life on earth at the image and character of the Son, endowed with all Spiritual blessings ) of His only begotten Son Jesus. Accordingly, ” election” (or choice), respects that lump or mass of mankind out of which some are chosen from which they are separated and distinguished. PREDESTINATION has respects to the blessings they are designed for, singularly their adoption as ” children “of God, co-joint brothers or sisters of Jesus – Psalm 65: 4 ” Blessed is one whom you choose, and cause to come near, that he may live in your courts. We will be filled with the goodness of your house, your holy temple. “
However, the adoption of children by Jesus Christ unto Himself means first, the grace of adoption, which is an act of the Father’s love a blessing provided and secured in the covenant of grace, and is of persons to an inheritance to which they have no legal right, and is entirely free, there being no need on the adopter’s part and no worth on the part of the adopted. Secondary, their sanctification, as well as their salvation is the result of the counsels of Divine love; before the creation of the universe – Luke 20: 36 ” For they cannot even die anymore, because they are like angels, and are sons of God, being sons of the resurrection.” We could widening the comprehension by calling of the book of Romans 8: 15 ” For you have not received a Spirit of slavery leading to fear again, but you have received a Spirit of adoption as sons by which we cry out ” ABBA FATHER! “
Furthermore, the will of God is the rule of all his actions, and of all his acts of grace and goodness – Philippians 2: 13 ” For it is God who work in you both to will and to work for His good pleasure.” God’s election follows the counsel of His own will and not by our works.
