The stone that matters: Jesus Christ

A stone is a hard earthen (made of earth or mud) substance that can form large rocks ( the naturally occurring aggregate of solid mineral matter that constitutes a significant part of the earth’s crust)  according to dictionary. In the realm of the Spirit Jesus Christ is the “stone”, the foundation of the existence (unseen & real) “…The stone which the builders rejected, the same was made the head of the corner. This is from the Lord, it is marvelous in our eyes.” – Mark 12: 10-11. The Bible says that the spiritual realm consists of both – Good – God and the holy angels; Evil – The devil and his demons. The Apostle Mark justifies this conclusion by appealing to the Psalm 118: 22-23. In the same way the builders in the psalm rejected the cornerstone, so the Jewish leadership rejected Jesus witness to the realm. God has now made that witness, the pivotal development, the chief cornerstone, in the movement towards the realm.

Mark uses the parable of the” wicked servant ” in the chapter 12, to assure members of the congregation that they have a place in the ” vineyard “ (God’s house) by following Jesus and being committed to the community of the realm. God’s love is unconditional and God’s promises are utterly trustworthy. God I believe is active in every situation to offer the community in the middle of chaos, the optimum experience of LOVE & BLESSING that is possible given the limits of the context.
