Biologically, the oral cavity commonly known as the “mouth” is the hollow cavity that follows food and air to enter the body. However, in the reign of the Spirit it is the essence location of the sword of the Spirit; which is the Word of God (Ephesians 6:17). In order to nurture the functions of the mouth, let us say that the mouth contains many other organs-such as the teeth, tongue, and the ducts of the salivary glands-that work together to aid the ingestion and digestion of food. The mouth also plays a major role in the production of speech through the movements of the tongue, lips and cheeks.
The above luminary description of the human mouth allow us to access an organ with diverse functions. In addition to its biological function (the pleasures of taste; social aspects of eating), we have the oral communication function illustrated by some of the social and psychological aspects (conversation, confession, speech & debate) related to the importance of linguistics in a specific context. On the worldly people perspective, the mouth is prerequisite for a good health as a whole and an irreplaceable tool for social communication among leaving beings. Perhaps, common man believed he had the right to use his mouth at his will, without necessarily minding the source of the knowledge or the origin in order to be consciously selective on the material, the context and the timing with the sole aim not to breach the goal of communicating and avoid misunderstanding and suspicious. A sound communication must blend a deep knowledge of the issue, the mastering of the language, the respect of the audience values that enhance social cohesion and bring solutions,etc..
This exercise is humanly not achievable considering a variety of criteria to put together for a concern communication. On the contrary, Christians do not have to think or reason about the use of their mouth for oral communication. First and for all, the source of their knowledge is God’s word, and God’s word is God (John 1:1 “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God”). Secondly, Christian’s faith came by hearing the word of God (Romans 10:17) “the word is near you, in your mouth, and in your heart, that is, the word of faith, which we preach…”(Romans 10:8-9). Thirdly, salvation come by the confession of the Word. The Word given to us through a revelation by the power of the Holy Spirit is not only a verbal tool for salvation of soul, but it is a POWER in a symbolic of the “Sword” (a long-bladed weapon having a handle and sometimes a hilt and designed to stab, hew, or slice and cut according to Wiktionary). The Word of God in the hand of the Holy Spirit wounds very terribly, and makes the heart of man to bleed. The Holy Spirit glorifies Christ not only by what he reveals, but also by what he overturns. The strife may be weary, but it will be carried on from age to age, till the Lord Jesus shall appear. He will win the day and those who are with him will be more than conquerors. Our Lord is a man of war. JEHOVAH is his name.
