The secret faults!

1

There are in every man sins on which the doer is unaware. Those sins are founded both within our character (inward) and our appearance (outward). We easily acknowledged the wrinkles reflected by our faces in the mirror, we reset our mind to suit those changes. Perhaps, our inward physiognomy is strange to us (especially the race of unbelievers or those who live by their sight) and out of reach of our senses; This no way area of our conscience is diligently exploited by evil powers in order to deceive a man as to its real character. The more the man goes wrong the less he knows it.

Then besides that, we are all biassed in our own favour and what, when another man says it is ” flat blasphemy”, when we say it is only” a colorful word”.  Down below every life there lies a great dim region of habits and impulses and fleeting emotions into which it is the rarest thing for a man to go with a candle in his hand to see what it is like. We can imagine a man in his daily chores saying” if i do not know that i am doing wrong, how can it be a sin?” Thank be to God! Ignorance diminishes criminality, but ignorance does not alter the nature of the deed (guilt).

Hosea 4:6 “My people are destroyed for lack  of knowledge. Because you have rejected knowledge, i will also reject you…”There is this biblical’s illustration where an adulterous woman says ” i wipes my mouth, i have done no harm!” Was she therefore chaste or pure?. We know nothing against ourselves. Yet we are not hereby justified. But he that judged us is the Lord, Jesus Christ. Acts 20:32 “Now brothers, i entrust you to God, and to the word of his grace, which is able to build up, and to give you the inheritance among all those who are sanctified”. God’s word allowed those secret faults to be revealed to Christians, endowed with God’s Spirit through their baptism, they become  familiar with what is good, well-pleasing, and perfect will of God.

  1. “Thank be to God! Ignorance diminishes criminality, but ignorance does not alter the nature of the deed (guilt)”
And what about the word that says “The times of ignorance God overlooked”
