- Don’t be jealous of what others have
God won’t promote a jealous heart. Jealousy is a work of the flesh, Galatians 5:20 –21″idolatry, sorcery, hatred, strife, jealousies, outbursts of anger, rivalries, divisions, heresies…that those who practice such things will not inherit God’s kingdom”.However, when you allow jealousy into your heart you are typing into a murderous spirit that will ultimately kill your dreams. James 3:14-16 “…for where jealousy and selfish ambition are, there is confusion and every evil deed”.
- Trust God with the timing
As it is stated in the book of Ecclesiastes in chapter three (3) long ” for everything there is a season, and a time for every purpose under heaven”.Many times believers think they can change the appointed time and seasons, but the prophet Daniel refreshes our mind in chapter two (2) verses (21) “He changes the times and the seasons; he removes kings, and sets up kings; he gives wisdom to the wise, and knowledge to those who have understanding;”
- Work on your character
1 Samuel 16:7 ” But Yahweh said to Samuel, don’t look on his face, or on the height of his stature, because i have rejected him; for i don’t see as man sees. For man looks at the outward appearance, but Yahweh looks at the heart.”We need to develop the character that will keep us to where the anointing take us. Romans 5:3-5 “…and perseverance, proven character; and proven character, hope…and hope doesn’t disappoint us…” Let us ask the Holy Spirit to show us areas of our life that need work, and then we must ask for grace James 4:6 ” But he gives more grace. Therefore it says God resists the proud, but gives grace to the humble.” in order to get to the next stage of his glory.
- Practice humility
Humility has no rights, here are three verses for self consumption as witness to keep in mind: 1 Peter 5:6-7; James 4:10; Luke 14:11.
Jesus Christ who existed in a form of God on earth didn’t consider himself as equal to God, but emptied himself, taking the form of a servant, being made in the likeness of men, up to the stage of becoming obedient to death on the cross with the ultimate goal of saving the humanity. Finally, when God exalts you stay humble because often time “Pride” comes before the fall.
