The real life of discipleship

Jesus  looked at them intently and said humanly speaking ” it is impossible. But not with God.Everything is possible with God” (Mark 10:27).

Jesus is explaining the real-life demands of discipleship, for him is more than a call for a change in the man’s bottom line (a choice between possessions and abundance). Jesus is asking for more the man’s very own self…Perhaps, wealth is like a competing deity treacherously constrains people from serving God.The concern for we Christians is how to secure eternal life? Eternal life however, entails the surrender of one’s whole self. The challenge is to shows that the kingdom of God confronts us with a vision of life and identity base on the trust, the reliance and the compliance with his will.Let us learn contentment in a low state and to watch against the love of riches in a high one (John 6:29).

The call into discipleship enabled us by the power of the Holy Spirit to be partakers of the welfare of all, if required in Christ’s service and to use all we have saved, our entire being in his service. This is out of human’s reach. (“as the living Father sent me, and I live because of the Father, so he who feeds on me, he will also live because of me”John 6:57).
